Setting Record and Field Permissions
Reading through the KB and Forums, I've been able to piece together how Record and Field level permissions work, and looking for confirmation.
To limit what a user sees, we need to:
1. Create a View which holds the Records and Fields the user is allowed to see.
2. Create a Role specific to that View
3. Add the User to that Role
4. Create a Form and pair with the ViewThis seems pretty cumbersome, so not sure if I'm understanding correctly (from: http://help.trackvia.com/forums/216889-how-to-questions/suggestions/5927293-limit-access-to-specific-fields-by-role)
User > Role > View/Form
Thanks !

Super Admin vs. Admin ?
Hi,
I'm looking for confimation in my understanding of Admin user permissions.
There are two (2) Admin permissions in the system: Super-Admin and Admin.
My understanding is:
Super Admin is the See Everything/Do Everything account level permissions that over-ride any application level permissions granted. This is set on the users account.
Application Admin gives all access (read/write/delete etc) for everything within in the specific application ONLY (not outside of this application). This permission is set within the Role the user is assigned to. Question: If the Super-Admin specifies the View for a table which does not show all records/fields, will…

Create a pie chart based on counts of values?
We have four of five different attributes we apply to our projects to group them by (e.g. IT/Digital/Engineering/Sustainment). I would like to create a pie chart that shows the percentage of projects per criteria. So we might have 30% "Engineering" projects vs. 40% "IT" projects. But I can only seem to create a pie chart based on fields with numbers. Is there any way to create a pie chart as I described?

Is there a way to select records in a table that are not linked to any other table
I have a table of people who completed volunteer applications and a table of various volunteer jobs and a many to many link to link the volunteers to the activities they actually performed. That is working fine. I want to find all the people on the table of people who completed a volunteer application who have never volunteered at all. Is there a way to do that?

How do I limit the number of records that show up by rank?
I would like to have a top 10 list of items checked out in a asset tracking app. Right now I am trying to use the count field as a basis for this filter, but because the list constantly changes, I can't filter by a set number. it needs to be highest to lowest and only show 10 records. Anyway to do this.

limited role can't edit table even though all maximum permissions are set.
As you can see in the attached screen shots, I can't edit the asset and member drop down menus to create a new activity record. The checkout is a view of the activity table which is a child of both the member and the asset table. For limited role I have all settings to the maximum allowed permissions. It is only the assets and members drop down lists that don't show up.
Thanks!
