  1. get rid of an unwanted comma before calculated text

    We have two tables - one for assets and another a check out log
    To get the current location with we have two formulas for calculated text

    Check out log
    if(isblank({Checked In Date}), {LOCATION}, "")

    Assets
    if(sum({Checkout Log}.{Asset (Checkout)}.{Currently Checked Out})>"0",childconcatenate({Checkout Log}.{Asset (Checkout)}.{CURRENT LOCATION} , ","),{HOME LOCATION})

    They work fine except a comma is appearing the box before the location. How do we get rid?

    I have a table importing from an Excel file. Now I want to change the format for it,for example before the input format was single line now I change it into dropdown and change the choice in dropdown that was before to remove unwanted data ,if I do so it eventually remove all old data but I wanna keep the old data at the same time add the new data from the updated dropdown choice in the same field. Can I do that?

  4. How do I use an If formula containing 2 isblank arguments?

    I'm trying to set an if condition based on 2 fields being blank. (i.e. If Contract Date and Decline Reason are blank) I've tried nesting the And() and Isblank functions with no success. Can someone please post a sample of the If statement on how to do this?

  7. Make the time range on a calendar view smaller

    We have a calendar view where record are always no more than 90 minutes long, and they all start after 8 AM and end before 9 PM. On the calendar, when I select "Day" or "Week", all the records are bunched together in the middle, which does not make for easy reading. Would it be possible to set a timeframe so that the Day and Week views would start at 8 AM and end at 9 PM, for example?

  8. Is there a maximum number of IF statements I can nest?

    I ask this because when I go to save the calculated field a dialog box appears stating: "We've had a minor problem. We can't tell if your request completed. Please click OK below to refresh your browser." Prior to this dialog box appearing, however, a string of text appears (stating: "Large tables usually save in under a minute. Feel free to leave this page, we'll let you know when this is saved") atop the whited out page as the calculated field is saved - see attachment "Problem with IF Statement."

    Also, once I paste the copied IF statement formula into…

  10. return the previous month's record

    I'm uploading invoices into our table. Each entry in the table will list the date run, the company name, qty and subtotal. I also want to add a column that populates what the previous month's qty was, so i can add an additional column that calculates the variance.

    Can someone help me with what the formula would be to return the previous month's qty?

    Thanks in advance

  12. Can we copy formulas when we create new tables?

    We utilize TrackVia for research and the copy table function was very useful in Classic because we could choose to copy formulas and they'd all come over without data. Is there a work around. Is this in the mix for an improvement?

  15. Is it possible to add comments when writing a long formula?

    In most languages you can add comments that does not affect the code or formula. Out of habit I tried to use ' but that didn't seem to work. Does trackvia allow for this kind of thing and if so what is the symbol or text?

    E.g.

    If({Field} = 1, A + B, A + C)

    'comments about above statement

  18. Filter the same month's income over multiple years.

    For example, I want to see my income only in the month of January over the last 5 years. How do I create a filter to do that?

    I am attaching what I have now, which is a chart of income for every month over the last 5 years.

  19. Use Regular Expression in Contains() or Snip()

    It would be really great to be able to match a pattern of text with regular expression in contains() and snip()

    For example, If I have a URL http://www.google.com/account/gmail/532905jfkdsa and http://www.google.com/account/maps/5723utiregmailfjdk

    If you use IF(contains("gmail",{url}),"Gmail","other")

    It will return gmail for both because both contain gmail even though I am only looking for /account/gmail.

    If I wanted to just find the account number (in this example) I could use something like /(\d+\w+)/g

  20. How do I calculate the sum of a column so that I can then use that to determine the percentage of the total for a given value?

    For example I want to show the percentage of total sales by store, salesperson etc.
    Everything I have tried so far just returns 100% as it is only doing the calculation on a row by row basis rather than using the column total.
