  3. Is there a way to set up user dashboards to just show the records of the user?

I have 4 sales guys and want to be able to use the same views for each on their dash but only have their files come up.

Currently they have 6 views with 6 filters to allocate files to each of them (so 24 views with 24 filters built to make it work)

Is there a way to set up a master dashboard which everyone logs into and they just see the files they are working on without having to replicate the whole setup for each user?

  4. TrackVia API and Tableau Web Data Connector

Tableau just came out with a Web Data Connector that allows it to pull in JSON data and Rest APIs.

    See https://www.tableau.com/about/blog/2015/8/connect-just-about-any-web-data-new-web-data-connector-42246

Do any of the TrackVIa API experts know how it might be possible to push TrackVia data to Tableau using this option?

  5. Create sub-folder in views

For my main Table I have created approx. 50 different views and about 15 of these are graphs/charts. I would like to have a way to organize these into sub-folders, so I can find the view I want to access quickly. I could have a "FY 14-15" folder, "FY 15-16" folder, etc. This would also improve navigation for my users who may not know what a specific view is named, but they could narrow their search down by viewing the content of category (i.e. sub-folder).

Having an icon next to the view name that visually depicts if is a graph,…

  6. Auotnumber and Text in calculated text

Can anyone please explain why this calculated text field formula works when Historic Order Number has a value but not when it's blank. I'm guessing it's something to do with the fact that Historic Order number is a text field whereas Order Number is an autonumber, however I can't find a to string function.

    IF({Factory}="Toplink", "TLKNZ", IF({Factory}="Playmore", "PKNZ", IF({Factory}="Colaro", "CKNZ", IF({Factory}="Vithal", "VKNZ", "")))) & IF({Historic Order Number}="", {Order Number}, {Historic Order Number})

  7. Power BI Integration

has anyone done integration with Microsoft Power BI? We are looking for a more robust set of visual representations of data display and a lot of the individuals who need to view the reports don't necessarily need to have logins and licenses. Just curios on the types of APIs possibly used.

  8. Use location as a Table ID or pull address from location field and put into a separate field

When creating a record in my table, I use the location field (from google maps). I am not able to use Location as table ID. A possible work around would be to create a separate address field and populate it with the address from the location field. However, I am having trouble doing this.

  9. Can I limit the available options in a form field based on a user/user with criteria?

Can I create a user database containing country assignments for each user, then have a form field for another table have its dropdown options be dependent on the user filling the form in? Pretty much is a there a way to do a calculated field/calculated dropdown based on the user filling the form in?

  12. Changing the Font Color for Field Values

Is there a way of changing the font color for field values?

We can change the form background and label colors, but not the color of the field values which remain black.

This makes is difficult to read on darker background colors.

  13. Allow calculated form fields value to be selected/copied

Unable to select (or copy) values from Calculated Text fields

The html fields used to display these fields are <textarea> and marked as "disabled". This is preventing me from selecting the text and copying the values (to be pasted in another application/process).

    A few ideas are to:
1.) Display the text as inline text (no textarea field)
2.) Use non-disabled textarea's, but override javascript to prevent changing of the text
3.) Give a copy button to copy text to clipboard (link bit.ly, Box, etc.)

  14. Radio buttons??

I created a new form, and I cannot figure out how to set a Drop-Down question to be Radio Buttons on the forms. I have older forms that have this option, so I know it's possible, but there is no apparent difference between those items on my forms, and the "Knowledge Base" only has suggestions for allowing Radio Buttons.

I feel like I'm losing my mind.

  16. Count working hours

I need to count working hours in the range defined by "Start" and "End" fields. Both fields are Date and Time format. The working day lasts from 7 AM till 3:30 PM. I need to count time only from this range. Overtime and weekends should not be included. I can start and end work any day at any time.
weekdays() function counts only days, datedif() function includes all 24 hours and weekends.
    Any ideas?

  17. Open a specific form in Mobile App

I have a work instruction that said "Check this and record it in Trackvia". I can easily put a link to the rigth trackvia form in a PDF.

But, If I put this PDF on a tablet, the link will open the form in the web browser, not in the Trackvia mobile App.

Is there a way to open a specific form in the trackvia app ?

  18. More Chart Customization

Is there a chance to add further customization to charts.

    For example:
    - Adding the option to display the data point on a line / bar graph in place of or in addition to hover text.
    - Customize the color of the lines

The more options for charts the better.

  19. Calculate a fields value at record creation time, but not update it ever again

I would like to sum up the values in the child records and store the sum in the parent record when the parent record is created. But not have the parent sum value change when the child records change. I just want that parent sum to stay the same forever. Kind of like taking a snapshot in time for history purposes.

  20. Pin open the paragraph field

Currently, paragraph fields are by shown, by default as one line. Would it be an easy adjustment to add into the view editing interface an option to pin open a paragraph field to a certain depth - the ability to change the width of table views is a similarly useful function.
