  1. Pivot Views: Calculated fields to allow for dynamic aggregation

In the same way that pivot tables in excel or equivalents allow you to create a calculated field in your pivot view. This field would not be a calculated field in the table itself, but a calculated field that would dynamically perform a calculation function regardless of the rows and columns you set for your pivot view.

For some reference, I've provided several links for other tools like Excel, Tableau and Google Data Studio.

  5. edit the table schema

    Hi,

The new app look very nice! Hope you like some feedback:
In the first test drive minutes I found it extremely hard to find where the table schema (fields) can be edited.

Finally I managed to find the table builder, but I still get lost. FYI: I'm using it just for minutes now, but that usually is the best moment to get an impression of how intuitive it is regarding 'where am I' or 'where can I do this/that'.

    Warm regards,
    Henry

  9. Generating project reports

Would be beneficial to be able to run a report and generate a spreadsheet or something on projects by square footage to use to distribute leads

  10. How do I change a table name?

There seem to be two opportunities for adding a table. One route allows you to immediately name it, the second route lets you add a table but with no way to give 'new table' a meaningful name. Finding the first route seemed rather serendipitous and I can't find my way back to it!

  13. How do I limit the number of records that show up by rank?

I would like to have a top 10 list of items checked out in a asset tracking app. Right now I am trying to use the count field as a basis for this filter, but because the list constantly changes, I can't filter by a set number. it needs to be highest to lowest and only show 10 records. Anyway to do this.

  14. limited role can't edit table even though all maximum permissions are set.

As you can see in the attached screen shots, I can't edit the asset and member drop down menus to create a new activity record. The checkout is a view of the activity table which is a child of both the member and the asset table. For limited role I have all settings to the maximum allowed permissions. It is only the assets and members drop down lists that don't show up.

    Thanks!

  17. How do you create a form to update records?

How do you create a form to update records? For example; if I want to update the value of a date field to the current date, how would you create a form for this? so far I can only add records.

  19. Is there a way to select records in a table that are not linked to any other table

I have a table of people who completed volunteer applications and a table of various volunteer jobs and a many to many link to link the volunteers to the activities they actually performed. That is working fine. I want to find all the people on the table of people who completed a volunteer application who have never volunteered at all. Is there a way to do that?

  20. Setting Record and Field Permissions

Reading through the KB and Forums, I've been able to piece together how Record and Field level permissions work, and looking for confirmation.

To limit what a user sees, we need to:
    1. Create a View which holds the Records and Fields the user is allowed to see.
    2. Create a Role specific to that View
    3. Add the User to that Role
    4. Create a Form and pair with the View

This seems pretty cumbersome, so not sure if I'm understanding correctly (from: http://help.trackvia.com/forums/216889-how-to-questions/suggestions/5927293-limit-access-to-specific-fields-by-role)

    User > Role > View/Form

    Thanks !
