  2. Sort by name in Calculated field?

    Is there any way to alphabetize text in Calculated field? I have Calculated field with formula: childconcatenate({Projects}.{Lead}.{Project Experience}, "\n"). How can I sort those "Project Experience" fields from Projects table?

  3. Copy the linked field to text

    I have a contracts table and in it, users will select a child company from the linked child company table.

    I am trying to create a client contacts form that will automatically populate the selected child company(ies) in contracts in the associated client contact field

    Can you tell me how? Or is there a way to create a second column that will do something like linked record = linked record text

  4. Create links within Manufacturing Work Instructions that automatically populate the correct TrackVia picture entry

    I work for 3D systems. We manufacture 3D printers and use TrackVia in multiple ways, but on of them is to take pictures throughout the assembly process using Android Tablets for accountability and quality purposes. Currently, assembly line workers read paper work instructions, and only use the tablets for TrackVia. We want workers to be able to use the tablets to follow work instructions. Within the instructions, we would like for workers to be able to click a link that would take them to the appropriate TrackVia picture entry form. I'm not sure if this can be done being that…

  5. How do I set up an email alert in the future?

  6. return the previous month's record

    I'm uploading invoices into our table. Each entry in the table will list the date run, the company name, qty and subtotal. I also want to add a column that populates what the previous month's qty was, so i can add an additional column that calculates the variance.

    Can someone help me with what the formula would be to return the previous month's qty?

  7. Sending/sharing/emailing a record or scheduled report as an attachment

    Hello,

    I work for a healthcare organization. One of our departments uses TrackVia on a near daily basis. We have very recently upgraded from the classic version to the Enterprise+ version.

    Is there any way that we can use the "Share Record" feature, but instead of TrackVia printing out the data in the body of the email (the users have told me this can't be done for HIPAA reasons), the data can be sent as an attachment? Either a Word document or .csv or Excel spreadsheet is fine; it's just for our purposes, we cannot have the data printed out…

  8. See ALL active notifications in ONE place.

    I would find it extremely helpful to have the ability to see ALL active notifications in one place.
    I imagine a notifications tab/page categorized by tables, that shows all underlying views with active notifications -each view having the ability to expand and show all associated notifications, and each notification having the ability to expand and show all users receiving that notification.

  9. Saving a new record - default form fails to load

    I have created a form for users to enter new records into a table. The form contains the specific fields they need to work with. I do not wish to grant the user access to the "default form" as there are fields in there I do not wish to grant them access. When a user enters a record and they hit save they are presented with a "permission denied" alert. The record does save.

    Best I can tell, trackvia always loads the "default form" after a new record is saved. Is this accurate? Is there any way to change this?

  10. How can I share a dashboard?

    I have several tables and views saved within one rolled up dashboard. I would like to share this dashboard via email weekly with our team. Is there a way to share dashboards? Or does anyone have a creative idea for sharing more than one view?

  12. Calculating Task Completion Time

    I am looking for a way to capture how long it takes a user to create a record.
    Does TrackVia stamp when a Form is opened? If so, then I can use this value in a datedif formula against the record Create Date/Time to see how long it took to open the form, key in the information, and click Save.

  13. export document field

    Is there a way to download all of the documents for a table? An export gives me an excel file and one of the columns in that is the name of the document in that field but I need a way to get all of the actual files. Is that possible or do I have to go through one by one and download them?

  14. Font sizes in Forms

    The knowledge base says "Next, if you wish to further customize your form, click the pencil icon in the upper right corner of any field or section. From here, you can edit the title, and the font and background colors. " But far as I can tell, there are not font style or size controls. Does this mean that I cannot change the size of the fonts in form fields? Seems like a really basic feature.

  15. Section Headers on Dashboards

    I would like to be able to add a Section Header on dashboards. For Example: a current dashboard may contain data for 3 different pieces of data that belongs to one site. I want to be able to TITLE the sections - Section 1, Section 2, Section 3, so that when paging down the dashboard there is a specific division between the data.

    The issue is that if I create a dashboard for each site with each piece of data I will have 18 different dashboards and that's just unwieldy to manage. Also, only 4 + 1 tab shows across…

  16. Retrieve Value from Grand-Parent Table?

    Is it possible to retrieve the value from a field in a grand-parent table?

    I've tried modifying the format of retrieving from a parent field by adding additional "connectors", but not getting it to work.

    Sample:
    {Table Name}.{Relationship Name}.{Relationship Name}.{Field Name}, or
    {Table Name}.{Relationship Name}.{Table Name}.{Relationship Name}.{Field Name}

    I could "step" the values down one level at a time, but thought it would be easier to go straight to the source.

  18. How do I set up alerts, if possible, to my email account?

    Every time, someone enters a new order to be shipped, it would give you an email notification, that way you wouldn't miss RUSH/OVERNIGHT shipments

  19. Add tool tips to views/fields

    Add tooltips to views/fields/flows.

    The text widget is kind of klunky. Tooltips would be a more elegant solution for fields, but would also be useful to explain the purpose of a view or flow before someone jumps into one.

    I have a table, which is for FAQ/Knowledge Base. I would like to know how many times a particular question has been viewed and maybe by who,? Is that possible in TrackVia currently?
