Adding more info through Multi-select
Multi-select is quite nice, and is improving workflows for a lot of my clients. Thanks for adding this!
Would love to see the ability to choose a few fields from the join table to include in the multi select. That way the record created in the join table has all info required.
Situation: We're creating an Invoice record, using multi select to choose items from the Products table, which are added to our "Line Items" join table. A "Line Item" record contains the number field "Quantity"
Current process is to choose items with multi-select, save record. View for line item appears at bottom of form after saving. At this point, they can add quantities for their line items through the view.
A few problems arise here: The first is that many users forget the critical step of adding quantities. Next time they access these, all Line Items have 0 quantities and they can't remember what they were.
The next issue: Often the user needs to create a ton of line items. The process of choosing the line items, then adding quantities for each can be troublesome. For instance, if you're taking an order over the phone: Someone's telling you 25 line items they need, you mark these in multi select and click save. Now they need to go through the whole list of 25 again to get the quantities.
This could be fixed if, while imputting to the multiselect, you could choose the Product and input the needed Quantity (as well as other join table fields for that matter).
Sorry for rambling, hope this is clear

Hello,
Thank you for your suggestion. I agree that this would be a very helpful enhancement and have logged your request.
In regards to your second question, while it is not possible to get additional votes on the forum, it is possible to get your votes back from any issue/enhancement you've voted on previously and to vote on your higher priorities.

Also, how do you get more votes? I've been on here a while so they're long gone.
