Organization of App Overview, Views, Filters, etc...
I find the App Overview to pretty ineffective. I need to be able to organize my hundreds of views and filters by at least table and ideally in a hierarchal structure that I can build. Having them all side by side in no particular order makes it pretty hard to know what I'm looking at quickly.
Additionally, I've been using a naming convention for all of these views and filters that will at least alphabetize/group them together but then items with similar names, applicable to entirely different tables/views etc get all mixed together. The other problem with this is that the "Title" of each little graphic block is abbreviated so short that I can't even read the full title of what the view or title I'm looking at.
For example I have like 7 different blocks that all say
"rv.Monthly Net Sales...."
I need to see if it says
"rv.Monthly Net Sales Location 1a"
"rv.Monthly Net Sales Location 1b" etc...
I've tried a hundred different naming conventions and just need more space!
Also, renaming dozens of views/filters is so time consuming, so if I do think of a better name it's nearly impossible to change everything over quickly. We need some sort of batch renaming ability as our database grows.
And my last associated frustration is then when I go to build a dashboard the list of views that I can add is in no order at all! Not alphabetized, not grouped, not sortable... just total chaos. So I have to scroll through some 100 views to find the one that I need to add to the database. Whoops you picked a graph instead of a data view, start searching all over again..
Please make this program more customizable for organization!
Other than that, very functional tool for us. This improvements would just make it that much better!

The App Overview definitely needs improvement. Just adding a simple filter to only show filters/views for a particular role or table would be a huge help.

I agree with this, a list view would be much better. It would also be good to have the ability to see what form, roles, users etc it relates to by simply clicking on it.

They are currently working on a solution to this issue to improve our user experience. We will keep you informed as this feature improves.
We recommend using the Go To search at the top of the page or using the Admin drop-down menu for navigation if you wish to avoid the App Overview page.
