Enable Default Values That End-Users Can Change
Currently, on the Table field level there is no way to establish a default value. The only option is to create a calculated field on the Form level.
The big problem is that calculated fields are really designed just to display information to the user, not to be a shortcut for data entry.
I'd like to see the ability to define a Default Value at the Table level that displays as entered data in the form but which the end-user can freely change/edit as in any other field that already has data in it.
This makes sense in any use case in which data points are usually, but not always, a particular (absolute or calculated) value.
Examples would include things like Customer Country (ex. United States), Deposit Amount (ex. 25% of Invoice Amount), Payment Terms (ex. Net 30), Expected Ship Date (e.g., Order Date + X Days), etc.
We now have a default value option for input fields on forms. Hover over a field on the edit form page and click the pencil icon to view this new setting!
Any status update on this?

I would also like an update on this.
No plans for default values yet?
Any news on this?

Thank you very much for your input! We do see how allowing fields to have a default value could cut down on the time that it takes for the user to enter data. We will gladly pass this along to our product team for consideration and will keep you in the loop with updates!
