More advanced import
I need these options ASAP:
1) If a field is blank: update with the info of the import file.
If a field is not blank: DO NOT UPDATE
2) Checkbox field: Update with the options of the import file, but do DO NOT remove current checkboxes.
A record has a field "checkboxes" with checks in: A, C. [B is empty]
If I import a file with "checkboxes": 'B' it will return as: A, B, C.
I strongly disagree on 2)
We often export an excel with data, give it to a customer, make the customer chose some records, and then we need to reimport the list into TrackVia with a checkbox filled in with the customers name.
But if we need to pay attention to all the other options that are already checked on those records, we'd have to export the records AGAIN after getting the excel back from the customer, and then merge the results with the existing, which is really painful, and then reimport the result.
If this is a daily process it's really time (money) consuming...
That's why I want to be able to just "add" extra checks into checkboxes, instead of removing existing checks in other boxes when importing.

Just adding my thoughts.
1) Yes - if a field is blank in TrackVia, and you import a file with that field populated, TrackVia should update the field with the value in your spreadsheet. I've submitted this request myself for blank fields not being updated.
However, if the field is not blank, the import SHOULD update TrackVia if they value in your spreadsheet is different. If you don't want the field in TrackVia to be updated, then don't import to that field.
2) Is similar to the above. TrackVia will be updated based on whatever is in the spreadsheet. If TrackVia has A and C populated, and the spreadsheet has B only, then TrackVia will update the record with B only and remove A and C. If you want all 3 populated, then all 3 need to be populated in your spreadsheet.
In the end, an import should update TrackVia to be the same as whatever you have in your spreadsheet.
