Flows!
TrackVia is super excited to announce a brand new feature that will revolutionize the way apps get built within the platform. Flows will provide a process builder that will not only help visualize a process, but will streamline and automate the experience for end users. Have a specific order of operations end users should follow? Want to make sure they are always following the same process? Flows will help do that!
Instead of relying on dashboards and lots of training to teach users where to navigate to, use Flows to help guide them to exactly what they need.
Notice that Flows can be found in the admin toolbar next to Table Relationships. Flows will be the last step of the application build and allow easy drag and drop diagramming of each process.
The example above shows a Truck Inspection process. Admins have the option to select from different tasks and decisions.
A task allows you to say if the user will be adding, editing or viewing data:
By selecting "Add or Edit" the builder will provide a list of Form options to choose from. If the end user is filling out a new Truck Inspection for example, the Task above would be "Add" and the Form selected would be the "New Truck Inspection Form".
Admins can also change the label of the save button, so if it is the first step of many, you can label your button "Next" to indicate to the user that there is more to do!
A decision will allow admins to harness the logic and power of TrackVia to help end users automatically navigate to the next step. This conditional logic will help eliminate manual processes that may cause error and confusion.
The decision in the image above is based on whether or not an inspection failed. Admins will be able to label each result, which then labels the lines on the diagram, and set custom criteria through TrackVia's condition builder:
Flows should be intuitive and easy to build. Make sure to have all your custom forms and views built first!
End User Experience
The end user experience will be smooth and easy to follow. Currently available on Web and Android platforms, Flows will allow the end users to focus and stay in the process their admins built for them.
Notice that the "save" button is now labeled "Next"
On meeting a condition of "Fail" the "Save button" now changes to direct End Users to the next step:
