When creating views that group store records by region, they show at the region level in TV, but export as individual records under highlighted rows for each region but aren't summed so I then have to go into excel and re-sum each section. Is there a way to get a View to export at just the grouped level? I really don't want to create a new table just to make this happen.

Thank you for reaching out with your question. At the moment, summary views will export as individual records instead of showing the same way it does in TrackVia. Depending on how you have your tables and relationships set up and what you are grouping by, you might be able to perform the calculations (sum/count/etc.) at the parent table level and then export a view at the parent level with the desired summed/counted information. If you would like further assistance with this, feel free to send us an email to email@example.com. I have added a feature request to implement the grouped export functionality in TrackVia. If and when this is released, you will be notified.

This is very important for our operations as we have over a million rows of data that the grouping drops to about 5,500. I only need the 5,500 but this problem of exporting all million rows instead of what appears on the screen as the grouped results is....(insert appropriate adjective.). What good is the power of grouping down a big dataset if we can't export the thinned out result?
In the original version of this type of view, the export included only the summary data. We had an overwhelming number of requests to include the entire data structure, so the change was made based on the demand, and the current behavior will likely remain intact. I apologize for this not fitting your specific use case. We have added the ability to create a pivot view, which does give you the option to export the summary data or the underlying data, so that might be a better fit!
Thank you for your comment! At this time, users are able to export Summary Views in a format that shows the overarching "grouping" information, as well as the records themselves in each individual group. If you would like to export the Summary View in a format that includes groupings only, you could try creating a Pivot configuration similar to your current Summary View configuration, or printing the View. The latter would give you the Web page in a format it appears. Additionally, I have searched the web, and it looks like there are a couple of extensions available for Google Chrome that allow table capture on Web pages, which could be another option.
