    Hi Michael,

Thank you for reaching out to us here at TrackVia with this issue you are seeing.

Can you email us at support@trackvia.com with the app, view, form, and field name you are trying to save this sort on?

We want to investigate this issue for you because if you save a sort on a view, and that view is set to be your "Preferred Parent View" on your form, the sort will, in fact, cause your drop-down list of records to be in that same sorted order.

Once we have these details, we will be able to investigate this issue further for you.

    Thanks again,

    Justin

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question.

Our TrackVia API is actually a REST API that returns data in JSON. You could, in theory, take the data that is output in JSON, and convert it to XML to get the integration you are wanting, but it is not natively how the data is returned through the API.

Do you know about our https://developer.trackvia.com/ website? It can be a great resource for you or anyone else looking for more information about our API or any other developer resources.

    Thanks again,

    Justin

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your feedback. We currently do not have the ability to customize the font size within the new 2.0 TrackVia system.

I have logged this as an enhancement request with our product team to potentially be added to the system for future releases.

In the meantime, your best option will be to navigate to the "View" tab on the web browser that you are using to access TrackVia and select the "Zoom In" option. This will enlarge the text in the system through your browser for easier reading.

    Thanks,

    Justin

    Hi Chris,

    Thank you for your question.

At this time we do not have the ability to search for a specific value in a field using the API on the new 2.0 platform.

What you would want to do instead is build a custom view that has the specific fields and records you are looking for in it, and do a call on that view.

    Thanks again,

    Justin

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for the feedback on exported files and date fields.

The TrackVia system exports data in a CSV format, and due to some formatting settings of a CSV file, it is always going to be the case that you would have to re-format any date fields when re-importing a file back into the system.

With that said, Excel should have its own local formatting settings that you can double check that can help minimize the amount of re-formatting that you have to do.

    Thanks again for the feedback,

    Justin

    Hi Sten,

Thank you for reaching out with your feedback. I will have our team look into the potential of adding additional App Script resources to the developer.trackvia.com website.

With that said, the fields that you are not able to reference in an app script are Image, Document, Auto Counter, and Calculated fields.

    Thanks again for the feedback,

    Hi Beth,

Thank you for reaching out with this suggestion.

This is great feedback and a great feature to look at adding to the system for the future. With that said, Witte actually logged this request with our Product Team this morning, to be considered to be added to the system for the future.

If/when this feature is added to the system, you will be alerted via email.

    Thanks again,

    Justin

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out with your feedback on Triggered fields.

If you add a Triggered field to a table and need that new field to start calculating or update its calculation for all records on your table, you will need to add a new checkbox field to your table and use it to do a bulk update of all your records to get the field to calculate.

The new checkbox field's sole purpose on the table is to be checked and unchecked anytime you need to trigger the updated calculation in the Triggered field on all of your records on a given table or just a single record in the table.

To add clarification, a Triggered field in a record will automatically recalculate any time a change is made to that given record.

With that said, I have gone ahead and added an enhancement request with our Product Team for this button. If/when it is developed and introduced into the system, you will be alerted via email.

    Thanks again,

    Justin

    Hi Ken,

It looks like what you have setup in the Classic system and what you are looking for in the New system, is a Pivot Chart.

We have changed the way that we map data in the new TrackVia system and this functionality is actually something that is not currently available, However, this is something that we have had a lot of requests for and is functionality that we are looking into add to the new system for the future.

I have gone ahead and logged you against this request, and your Account Authority will be notified via email when/if this feature is added to the system.

    Thanks,

    Justin

    Hi Nathan,

With a stacked bar chart like you have, we would not expect the data to shift down and resize itself if one of the options in the legend was removed/unchecked. This is the intended behavior of the feature.

That is because that is seen as just a quick and temporary de-emphasization of a certain part of your data on the chart.

We would only expect the data to shift down and resize itself if you were setting up a Quick Filter on a given chart.

    Thanks,

    Justin

    Hi Erin,

You are not supposed to receive and error when you are creating a record in the TrackVia System. If you have filled out all the required fields on the form, you will then be able to click the "Save Changes" button and should be able to create the record successfully.

Receiving errors is not the expected behavior, and you will need to reach out to an administrator of your TrackVia account to investigate what the cause of the error is. If they are unable to identify the issue, they can then reach out to us here in Support to help them investigate the issue.

    Thank you,

    Justin

    Hi John,

The system should actually be recognizing the file type and rejecting it from even being uploaded. I have logged a ticket with our engineers to identify and implement a fix for this issue.

You will be notified by email when this issue is fixed.

    Thanks,

    Justin

    Hi Kapila,

For a GET call, you are only able to do this call on a full record or a document or image field on a record.

If your "message" field on your record is not a document or image field in the system, you would receive an error.

Also, we have created a website with resources for API development in the system. It might be helpful for you as your working through these calls.

    It is: https://developer.trackvia.com/livedocs#!/records

    Thanks,

    Justin

    Hi Kapila,

Thank you for reaching out with your question.

The call for the delete is correct, however, your user in the account must not have access to that view in its permissions. That would be the only reason you would be getting the "401 Unauthorized" error.

If you can edit the permissions for your user, and then try the call again, the delete should be successful for you.

    Thanks again,

    Justin

    Hi Kapila,

The same thing is happening here as in your other question.

You will need to drop the brackets in your syntax and then pull the actual value for the field your pulling.

    Thanks,

    -Justin

    Hi Kapila,

Thank you for reaching out with your question.

The reason you are getting these errors is because you need to drop the brackets in your syntax and then pull the actual value for the field your pulling.

For example, rather than typing "{viewId}", you would type the ID number of the view. Let say for example the ViewID is 1234, your syntax would be written as "/openapi/views/1234/records/all", rather than "/openapi/views/{viewId}/records/all".

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Bindu,

There is the ability to group a filtered view by more than one field. This is found/set up on the "Format" tab of the view editor.

However, I can't speak specifically as to if this is what you are needing for your view. We would need to know the specific fields and view in your account to verify for sure.

Can you email us at support@trackvia.com with these details? Then, we can take a look and confirm what you would need to setup.

    Thanks,

    Justin
