With Flows being able to do this becomes even more critical in making the step by step as simple as possible. Multiple forms means multiple sets of default values for different scenarios.

Mine are setup with a View then flowing to an edit. The view opens a view to select a record and then the edit feature lets you edit the record with the form selected. Or at least that's my understanding of it.

All my flows are currently in testing phase. So I'm not sure how the flow will interact with Roles. like if for the Role View A opens with form A im not sure if the Flow can override View A to open with Form B. it's on my list of things to test.

I was just thinking the same thing the other day. To make sense of the massive web is nearly impossible in the default configuration, but it's too time consuming to position everything each time making ERD fairly impossible to use

I'm not an expert but from my time using TrackVia it does seem that when a new record is saved TrackVia attempts to open the record from the default view.

If you don't mind people seeing the information then grant access to the default view and set the form to one with restricted access. This will keep the information from being edited as it is not a part of the form assigned to the view.

If you dont want them seeing the information at all then it is just an issue they will have to deal with seeing

I do the same as John. Filters can turn into a giant mess of and/ors pretty quickly. Its much easier to code some if statements and filter based on those results.

Thanks for the input! I actually just finished this up last week. It's setup with some app scrips and tracks is someone is tardy, the location of their clock-in/clock-out as well as the start and end of lunch break, calculates over time and has an approval process in place. next i am going to tie it into the PTO process i created to automatically add PTO hours to total times.

Still hasn't been marked completed and it's been months since this was implemented.

I agree, there needs to be some change to this forum to increase collaboration i've spent the last hour just combing through posts trying to bump them with comments. many of them have been inactive for years, but are much needed changes!

I would give it more votes, but I'm all out of them! a chat feature that could be tracked would be an exceptional feature. it would lessen the number of "collection points" people have to monitor. it would cut down on emails and phone calls for quick small things and being able to tag the chat to specific records when required would add a layer of security for people so they won't be documenting out the wahzoo to "cover their butt"

This would be incredibly helpful. the app overview page is pretty much useless. TrackVia usually locks up when I try to open it due to the sheer number of tables, views, forms, and filters I have

i agree, being able to edit your own records would save me a great amount of time and save from having to create multiple versions of forms where some roles can edit and some roles can't.

having conditional required forms would help as well. while it is easy to duplicate a form now, having so many forms to update or delete and recreate if there is an update is very time consuming.

having to change the record ID to a counter requires all imports to be done after hours or have users be utterly confused during the time you are importing. having the ability to import based on an admin record id or a unique field in the table would be a huge help.

it is a huge pain to have to search through to find the field(s) you need. A search feature would be optimal, but at least having the fields sorted alphabetically would be an incredible help.

this would be very helpful. it would give a consistent feel across Roles that need different levels of access, but keep an overall consistency for the company.

The App Overview definitely needs improvement. Just adding a simple filter to only show filters/views for a particular role or table would be a huge help.

This happens to us all the time. Emails or PDFs are mistakenly saved in an image field and are unable to be opened. No error message is given.
