Thank you for the suggestion. We can see the value in having this functionality. We currently solve for this by utilizing application scripts or by creating a parent relationship to a table that contains users. The table can contain an application user field that can then be filtered using the "current logged in user" setting.

This functionality is available through the use of an Application Script. If you are interested in this feature and do not have it enabled in your account (you will see a link to it in the table editor to the right of the Item Name), please contact us.

    Hi Jeewa,

We do not have an SDK for .NET, C#, or VB.NET. Is there a particular integration you are looking to develop that requires .NET?

    Hi Marta,

We just wanted to let you know your last request to show more than 4 Dashboard tabs was implemented. You will now see the tabs will span across the entire browser width prior to displaying the "more" drop-down menu.

    Thank you for the feedback!

    Hi Mauricio,

The Gantt chart pop-up on hover should be working the same as the preview, but we also see it is not. Our apologies for the difficulties this is causing.

As for the actual dates appearing rather than just the month, we found this is occurring when Date and Time fields are used.

These issues are on our radar to resolve. We have made a note to contact you once each is fixed.

Thanks for the suggestion, Andrew. We understand how this could be helpful on both the web and mobile apps.

For the time being, your best option would be to upload these vCard files into a document field and download them to view the details when needed.

    Christie,

The next time this happens, can you let us know the steps you took? For example, was this when you came from a dashboard or another page in your application? We believe we have ran into this when scrolling down on a dashboard and opening a view, but can't seem to consistently replicate the issue.

It may also help if you provided the browser you are using. Thanks for posting this! We would like to nail down what is causing this issue and resolve it.

    John,

We have not created a user's guide for limited users. This is because the navigation and workflow is usually very specific to each application. We believe it is best if the admin creates this guide along with training limited users.

If you ever wanted assistance with training and guides, let us know and we can discuss options for providing this type of help!

    Thanks,
    DJ

Thank you for catching this! We are in the process of creating a FAQ page that includes how to delete a view. It should pull up that article when you search "delete view."

A view is deleted from either the App Overview page or by opening the view and selecting the menu > Delete View option.

This can be accomplished by integrating TrackVia with a third party application through Zapier. We have customers that use an application called Wufoo for public online forms. You can read more about how to accomplish this at http://help.trackvia.com/knowledgebase/articles/406939-working-with-zapier. We recommend viewing the article 'Connecting Wufoo to TrackVia' (http://help.trackvia.com/knowledgebase/articles/430317-connecting-wufoo-to-trackvia).

However, you are not limited to using Wufoo. There are multiple "Forms" applications that integrate with Zapier, which means you can integrate them with TrackVia.

A tool to create and embed a Form on your site is not a project on our near-term roadmap. We recommend voting for this feature if you would like us to develop it! Because the Classic platform has the feature does not guarantee it will be a feature on the new TrackVia application.

It is true we do not have a link to send you back to where you were in a view when you open a record. When clicking back in the browser or navigating back to the view, the browser simply takes you back to the view as if you were reloading it.

It would be great to have a button that sent you back to a view where it is the exact state as you were seeing it when you opened a record. We will certainly take this under consideration!

As for the original request, this is a difficult one because there are customers that prefer to open records in the same tab they are using. Ideally, there would be a setting in each account to say whether an edit record form should open in the same tab or in a new one. Thanks for the feedback!

    Dan,

Thank you for your feedback; however, for TrackVia Classic, we collect this type of information in a separate forum (support.trackvia.com). You can find it by clicking the support link in your account. Rest assured, we have logged your feedback in our system!

    Thanks,
    DJ

Documentation for the API can be found at developer.trackvia.com. Included are downloadable SDKs for Java, Ruby, Python and PHP, as well as FAQs, tutorials and a playground to test out API calls.

    Hi Mark,

In TrackVia, you can use both the if() and contains() function. We tested the scenario provided to find you can return "Gmail" in a calculated text field that contains that formula.

Please give this a try and submit a support ticket from your account if it does not work as expected.

    Thanks,
    DJ

You can now print a form by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner when viewing a record's form!

    Hi Quentin,

Thank you for the suggestion, but it does not sound like it would be a good fit for TrackVia. We do have the ability to store URLs, documents and images, but we are better suited for giving business users the opportunity to build departmental applications rather than creating a personal private app store.

    Sincerely,
    DJ

That's a good suggestion, Dave. We do have a very simple example of data structures in this tutorial:

    https://developer.trackvia.com/tutorials/hello-world

But we could add a better example to the data structures page. We'll let you know if this gets added.

    Hi Redwood,

You should be able to type in the specific time you would like to enter. If you cannot manually enter the time in a field, please submit a ticket with specific details so we may troubleshoot the problem. It will be helpful to know the App, Table and Field name, as well as the browser and version you are utilizing.

    Thank you,

    DJ

Hello! It sounds like the website you are trying to display on a Dashboard is being blocked from displaying in a frame. For example, if you try to place google.com on a Dashboard, it will return a blank frame because Google does not allow you to freely put their website on your own (or TrackVia's in this case).

If you wanted to check to ensure this is the problem, you do have the option of opening your browser's Developer Tools (or JavaScript Console) to view errors that may be returning. In my example above, this is the error that appears in the browser's console --

"Refused to display 'https://www.google.com/'; in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'SAMEORIGIN'."

If you would like us to look into this for you, feel free to provide the website's address. We would be happy to help!

    John,

You can expect to have improved filtering capabilities later this year. We understand the current limitations and ease of use issues with applying filters to views. Our Product team has some great ideas we are excited to implement.

    Thanks for the feedback!

    DJ
