    Hello,

Toggling between percentages and actual numbers on a pie chart is a great suggestion and something we can certainly understand would be a useful feature for all of our customers. We will be sure to pass this information along to our product team as an enhancement request. Please let us know if you have any further questions or comments.

    Hi Tom,

To create your formula to retrieve the carbon number, you will first need to create a parent table that contains all the dates and carbon numbers. For setting up your table, you may want to include a start date, end date and the carbon number. You would then set up your Record ID in this carbon numbers table to be a combination of the start date and end date (e.g. "02/01/2014 - 03/01/2014").

Then when you create a meter record in the child, your lookup field to connect to the parent carbon numbers table will list off the two dates, whereupon you can choose the proper parent to link to based on the date you enter for the meter record appearing between the two dates listed in the Record ID in the relational drop down field. Say for example you have two records in the Carbon Numbers table with Record IDs:

    2/1/2014 - 3/1/2014
    1/1/2014 - 2/1/2014

If I enter in a meter record with a date of 2/18/2014, then you would know to choose the '2/1/2014 - 3/1/2014' parent Record ID.

Finally, in the table where you are entering meter records, you will add a calculated number field. Since you are already linking to the record with the proper carbon number, your formula can simply reference the carbon number field in the carbon number table and multiply it by the new meter value. Your formula might look similar to this:

    {Carbon Number Table}.{Link}.{Carbon Number Field} * {New Meter Value}

Please let us know if you have any issues or further questions.

    Regards,

    Jake

    Hi Ruffin,

To delete a view, click the Admin button in the top left of your screen and click App Overview on the navigation bar that appears. This will take you to your app overview page that shows all aspects of your account. If you scroll down to the Views section, you will see in each view box, there is a Delete button in the bottom right of the box. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Hi Claire,

TrackVia has the abillty to integrate with zapier, which allows apps to communicate and transfer data between each other. Zapier has many apps for phone systems/platforms which you can find here, https://zapier.com/zapbook/apps/#sort=popular&filter=phone. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Hi Vincent,

We wanted to let you know that we have now integrated TrackVia with zapier. Zapier allows you to connect apps with each other to easily move data between them. Zendesk is a supported app on zapier, so you will be able to connect your TrackVia account with your Zendesk account. For a list of apps you can connect TrackVia to, you can check out this page, https://zapier.com/zapbook/apps/. Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Regards,

    Jake

    Hi Vincent,

You are correct. The support.trackvia.com URL and the API mentioned is for our Classic product. However, we are working on releasing an API for TrackVia, which should be available late summer. Be on the lookout for updates!

    Jake

    Hello,

TrackVia does not yet have a newline character for wrapping text in a field, but this is certainly on our roadmap. There also isn't a "not" function, but we intend to include this in a future release.

You do have the ability to use "<>" ('not equal to') though in order to achieve a similar outcome of what you can with a "not" function. The "isblank" function can also be substituted in a similar manner. If you have any specific questions on how to create a formula, feel free to send an email to support@trackvia.com.

Please let us know if you have any further questions or suggestions for enhancements!

    Regards,

    Jake

    Hi John,

Both methods have their benefits. Creating a table just for documents and attaching them to their associated parent is useful in that you will only need to reference one location for all documents. This is especially useful when one parent record has many documents attached to it.

The second method is good for situations where there may only be a couple documents per record as it will allow direct access to the records by opening up a single record rather than having to navigate to a separate table.

Ultimately it will depend on how many documents you have and how you wish to structure your application. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Regards,

    Jake

    Hi John,

To obtain a result like "2014-01-15", you will need to add some conditionals into your calculation. You could use:

    year({Month Ending}) & "-" & if(month({Month Ending})<10,"0" & month({Month Ending}),month({Month Ending})) & "-" & if(day({Month Ending})<10, "0" & day({Month Ending}), day({Month Ending}))

This will output the way you are looking for in a calculated text field and will also return a valid date if you are using a calculated date field. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Regards,

    Jake

    Hi Andy,

I apologize for the confusion. I had mis-typed "year" in my first post and meant to say "month". Zapier integration will occur in early August which will allow you to sync with Google Calendar. Details about Zapier and Google Calendar can be found here, https://zapier.com/zapbook/gmail/google-calendar/. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Sincerely,

    Jake

By the way, we will be integrating with Zapier in the next month or two, which will allow you to sync with google calendar, as well as many other applications. A list of those applications can be found here, https://zapier.com/zapbook/apps/. Let us know if you have any questions.

    Best,

    Jake

    Hi Jessica,

Are you wanting to embed a TrackVia form onto your own website? If so, web form capability is set to be coming out early next year. Unfortunately there is no workaround in the meantime.

If you are trying to pull a form from an outside website into TrackVia, you have the ability to insert a website link into a dashboard, which will display the website on your dashboard.

If you are referencing embedding a form differently, please let us know. We are happy to help!

    Regards,

    Jake

    Hi Alex,

If you click the Admin button in the top of your screen and click EDIT next to your app name, you'll be taken to the table relationship page. Next to your parent table name (Towns), there is a small symbol to create the hierarchy between two tables. When you do this, you will be able to name the lookup field that will populate your drop down. You can name this "From". Once you click Save, you can then click the small hierarchy symbol again to create a second lookup field which you will call "To". Click save.

Based on your description, if the Town table is your parent table, in the table builder you could create a calculated text field that concatenates the town, zip and 3x character town abbreviation fields to make one long string of text. You could separate it using hyphens with a formula like this:

    town & " - " & zip & " - " & 3x character town abbreviation

Then you can change the ID to be the new field you created. Once you do this, the lookup field in the child Bookings table will be a drop down of that newly created field in the Bookings table.

Your Bookings table will now contain the "From" and "To" lookup fields which will be drop down fields populated with the text field you just created. These parent child lookup fields are used to connect records between the Town and Bookings table. Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Regards,

    Jake

    Hi Alex,

When linking two tables, a lookup field is created by TrackVia in the child table that populates a drop down based on what you select as the ID in a parent.

For example, if you have a Company table (parent) and an Employee table (child), where the ID in the Company table is the Company Name, when adding records to the Employee table, there will be a field that lists all the Company Names. Selecting a Company Name will connect the Employee record to the Company table.

This parent child link is the only way to populate a field with drop down options from another table. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Regards,

    Jake

    Hi Vic,

It sounds like you are referencing the lookup field in a child form that links to the parent table. This lookup field is named by combining the name of the child table with the name of the parent table. In your example, if you try adding a record to the Invoices table, there should be a field called 'Invoices Customer'. This field is a drop down of the available linked parent records from the Customer table. If you enter part of the name of a Customer, it will narrow down the list to your search term. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Regards,

    Jake

    Hi Vic,

Hope you are well. Unfortunately TrackVia does not have a phone masking feature. Encrypted fields are a great idea, though, and we can understand that this would be a great addition to TrackVia. I will be sure to pass this information along to our product team. Please let us know if you have any further questions or ideas.
