    Hello Esrana,

Currently, TrackVia does not have the ability to convert fields from one field type to another. That being said, this feature is definitely something that we are looking to get into the product and will let you know when we receive updates from our product team. In the mean time, you can export the view, add your new field with the new field type, then import into the new field.

    Hope this helps!

    Hello Nazaroni,

Currently, you cannot limit the choices for a date field. We do see how this could be helpful in certain scenarios and will gladly pass this suggestion along to our product team for review. Thank you for the feedback as it directly affects the direction of TrackVia!

    Hello John,

Currently, when multiple changes are made to a record at the same time, they are all sent in one email. This email is much like what you are suggesting, and includes a table-like display of all the changes. If you are seeing different behavior, please email us with specifics so we can take a closer look for you.

If you are making multiple updates through in cell edit or saving several times in a form, then all the updates will indeed to get sent in separate emails. We do see how it could be useful to group these if they are made very close together by the same person so we will pass this along to our product team for review. Thank you for the feedback!

    Hello Patrick,

Great question! While you cannot delete a user, you do have the ability to deactivate them. We see how this could cause the users table to become overloaded, so we will look into ways to mitigate this confusion. Thank you for your feedback as it directly affects the direction of TrackVia!

    Hello,

The easiest way to do this would be to sort your view by the column you would like to rank so the highest numbers are at the top(click on the header of the field twice). You can then change the "show rows per page" setting to 10. This will show you only your top ten records. Hope this helps, please let us know if you have any further questions!

    Hello,

Thank you for you feedback. Would you mind elaborating on what sort of functionality is missing in the iPad app? Bar charts should display the same information as the web app as well as allow you to drill down into each bar to see the underlying data. If you have an example where this is not the case, please submit a support request by clicking the help button in the upper right hand corner of your screen so we can work with you to resolve the issue.

    Regards,

    Hello,

We certainly see how searching in a grouped would be beneficial and cut back on the time it takes to find a single record. We will pass this request on to the product team and keep you in the loop with updates! As always, thank you for your feedback!

    Hi David,

You have a very good point. It can be useful to see all your records collapsed into groups, but there are definitely times when you would like to see all the records expanded. I would be happy to raise this concern to our product team. Thank you for your input!

    Hello,

We are looking to improve the printing functionality of TrackVia. Would you be able to provide a few more details about your use case in order to help us better understand your needs?

Until we make changes to the printing options, you can print your data in two different ways. The first would be to simply right click on the form/view you want to print then click the print option. You can also export your view to excel and print your excel spreadsheet. As always, we thank you for your feedback!

    Hello Ceri,

It appears that the childconcatenate function is also concatenating a blank value(if there is one). This means that we need to adjust the Assets formula slightly in order to account for this possibility. Below is a formula that should accomplish this. Essentially this checks to see if the first character is a comma. If it is, it will be removed.

    if(mid(childconcatenate({text calcs}.{Link to Sheet1}.{Snip from Notes}, ","), 1, 1)=",", mid(childconcatenate({text calcs}.{Link to Sheet1}.{Snip from Notes}, ","), 2, 9999999), childconcatenate({text calcs}.{Link to Sheet1}.{Snip from Notes}, ",")

    Hope this helps!

    Hello Chris,

The number the auto counter starts at can be changed in your table builder. After clicking on the field in the center column, you will be presented with an option to chose a starting number.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi John,

TrackVia does not currently have the capability to do a "grand parent" lookup. As you pointed out, you can accomplish a similar functionality by creating a parent lookup field in the child table then another parent lookup field in the grand child table that pulls from the first parent lookup that you created. In this way, you can create many levels of parent lookups to cascade information from table to table. We will let our product team know that you would like to see this functionality in order to simplify this process.

    Hope this helps!

    Hello,

While we do not currently have public sharing of views or dashboards, this is something that we are looking to implement. For the time being, you can get data out of TrackVia by exporting a view to excel. Thank you for your suggestion, we will be sure to let you know when this feature is available!

    HI John,

In most cases, the fields that compose your Record ID are included in your excel file already. If you are adding records, you most likely want to include all the fields that make up your Record ID to ensure the records are unique. If you are updating records, these fields are actually a requirement. For this reason, you should be able to use the import results file as the next import file without any issues. If you are experiencing something different, please let us know.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi John,

At the moment, there are three ways to select multiple records from a table. The first would be to simply check the box next to the desired records. Second, you can check the "all" box in the header row to select all records in the table. Lastly, you can select all the records in a page by checking the "all" box then unchecking one of the records from the view. You can combine this last method with the number of rows per page setting to control the range.

While these methods do allow you to select multiple records, a "shift key while selecting" feature like in excel is a great suggestion and would likely be quicker than anything mentioned above. As always, we appreciate the feedback and will pass it along to our product team for consideration!

    Regards,

    Derrick

    Hi John,

We designed this with the idea that it would be easier to see child views in line with the form rather than as a separate section with tabs at the bottom. However, you bring up a good point that with a lot of child views, this could make a form very lengthy. We will make sure our product team is aware of this!

    Hello,

With our current pricing model, we are actually billing for the features included in your account rather than the number of users. We give every account 10 users for free as well as unlimited support and 2 working sessions with a Solutions Architect. If you have further questions about this, please let us know and we would be more than happy to get you in touch with an Account Executive.

    Regards,

    Hi John,

At the moment, we do not have the ability to select "today" or "now" in a date filter. That being said, we are in the process of improving filters by adding more options. Be on the lookout for additional options in the future!

In the mean time, you can create a calculated field in your table that outputs a 1 if the date is prior to today. You can then create a filter on this new field effectively creating this "is before today" filter that you are looking for.

    Regards,

    Derrick

    Hi John,

Great question. Importing a large spreadsheet can take a few minutes. Feel free to kick off several imports at the same time - you do not have to wait for the first one to complete.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi John,

The Record ID can be configured to include more than one field. This means that you can use the Employee ID and the Employee Name. As you stated, this is very beneficial when linking child records. However, if you would like to import to update using just the Employee ID and not the name, you will need to temporarily change the Record ID to exclude the name portion. After the upload is complete, you can change the Record ID back to include the Employee Name.

    Regards,

    Derrick

    Hi John,

This is a great question and a fundamental difference between our classic and new products. TrackVia Express/Pro do not have a system generated ID that is unique to each record. This is essentially replaced by the Record ID. When linking tables, it is this Record ID that you will use to identify each record in the parent table.

You will also use this Record ID to import data into your table (if doing an import to update). You will need to ensure that all fields that make up your Record ID are included in the file you are importing.

Hope this helps to clarify things a bit, let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. With our current pricing model, every account includes 10 users, 2 working sessions with a Solutions Architect, and unlimited support.
