    Hi Stephen,

Thank you for reaching out! As it sounds like this feature option would be useful for your Organization's processes, this would be a great suggestion for an enhancement to our system. We went ahead and logged a feature request in your Organization's name with our Product team for them to review and consider implementing this functionality in a future project. We have added your email to this request as well, once the feature is released to the system, you will be notified.

If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to support@trackvia.com or call in to our Support line directly at 1 (800) 673 3302, we are happy to assist! Our Hours of Operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM MST.

    Hi Stephen,

Thank you for the feedback. The intent of the multiselect widget is to speed up the process of adding child records. So instead of clicking the add button, filling out a form, and saving it, and repeating this process multiple times, the widget bypasses the form, lets you quickly select child records, and means the user only has to hit the save button once. If you wish to see the form, then it might be best to allow users to add records from child views, instead of using the multi-select wizard.

    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to TrackVia. To calculate the age of a person based on a date of birth entered, we would recommend using the datedif() function. Here is an example:

    datedif(today(),{Birthday}, "yyyy")

To further gain knowledge on functions and formulas, we recommend reviewing our On-Demand Training courses, specifically Course 7 - Functions and Formulas in the Core Functionality section of the training. This can be found here:

    https://university.trackvia.com/page/core-functionality

    Hi Roger,

Thank you for reaching out! To ensure records do not get duplicated based on a specific field, a great option would be to mark that field as "Unique" on the table level. When fields are indicated as "Unique", the system will not allow you to save a field value if a record with that field value exists already. To accomplish this, you would need to navigate to the table editor, click on the field you wish to make unique, and check the box that states "Field is Unique," then save your changes. I am attaching a screenshot example below for reference.

    Hi Tom,

Thank you for submitting a question to the TrackVia Knowledge Base. Notification emails would not get triggered based on the passage of time, such as "3 days before today". That said, one option we would recommend is setting up a Scheduled Report/Share on a View and applying a Filter to only show records that are "after or equal to 3 days before today", to trigger an email at the frequency options available, for example, daily or weekly.

If you would like the emails to get sent to the list of addresses that are specified on each record within that View, a great option to achieve this automation would be utilizing our Integrations platform Workato. Workato offers a wide variety of functionalities, as well as sophisticated error handling tools allowing for more seamless processes. If it is something your Organization might be interested in, I would recommend looking into the resources below and reaching out to your Account Manager here at TrackVia for further details:

    Hi Brad,

Thank you for reaching out! Both of these suggestions sound like they would be great enhancements to our Pivot View functionality, we went ahead and logged these feature requests with our Product team for them to review and consider expanding the Pivot view abilities. We have added your email to these requests as well, once one of the features is released to the system, you will be notified.

    Hi Stephen,

Thank you for reaching out! At this time, you do have the ability to add separate Form sections and apply a different color to each, however, as it sounds like having additional conditional formatting options would be helpful for your Organization's processes, these would be great suggestions for an enhancement to our system. We went ahead and logged two feature requests in your Organization's name with our Product team for them to review and consider expanding the scope of conditional formatting options. We logged the first feature request to allow for highlighting blank fields in red without making them required as you are able to do currently, and the second feature request to allow the user to be taken to different-colored Forms, depending on the conditional formatting colors of the underlying View. We have added your email address to these requests, once these features are released to the system, you will be notified.
In the meantime, I have included a couple of articles from our Knowledge Base on the conditional formatting options we have currently available to use within a view, as well as instructions on making a field required on the form level.

    Hi Stephen and Kim,

Thank you for reaching out! At this time, you would only be able to add a Date or a Date and Time field to your table, that said, as it sounds like being able to have a Time only field would be helpful for your Organization's processes, we went ahead and added two feature requests, to add more weight, with our Product team, for them to review and consider implementing in a future Project.

In the meantime, as a 'workaround', one option would be creating two Drop Down List fields, one for 'hours', and one for 'mintues', this way, the users would be able to choose a time by hour and minutes. Another option would be creating a parent table with all the possible time combinations, or two parent tables, also one for 'hours' and one for 'minutes', to allow the users to choose times.

Hopefully, this helps provide some ideas!
