    HI Carlos,

Photos taken on the mobile device should honor their orientation when uploaded to TrackVia. We have seen some instances where this is not the case and determined that there is an issue with how some iOS devices pass information to the system which causes them to change their orientation.

Our mobile team is aware of the issue and are working on a fix to address the issue. We'll keep you updated once the fix is in place.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Lee,

The dependent drop down only controls the options you can select based on your previous selection. In this case Counties filters the list of options of Cities.

To sort these options, you'll actually want to look at the preferred parent view (PPV) on your form. Sorting the PPV will cascade to your child form when selecting your county and city. Information on PPVs can be found here: http://help.trackvia.com/knowledgebase/articles/509444-how-to-assign-a-parent-view-to-a-relationship-fiel

    Hi Paul,

Date formatting is controlled at the local level on your computer and browser settings. The article on changing the local date formatting can be found in our Knowledge Base Article here: http://help.trackvia.com/knowledgebase/articles/796998-how-to-change-date-formatting

    Hi Pennie,

Bell curve charts are a great enhancement that we will share with our product team for future development.

Currently, sorting charts will sort based on the type of data in the field. For example, numbers or currencies will sort highest to lowest, dates will sort in chronological order, and text fields sort alphanumerically.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Miranda,

Tables can be deleted by app admins on the App Overview page. This can be found under the Admin button at the top of the page, then selecting App Overview from the drop down menu.

Each table will have a small trash can icon that will delete the table from the application. This will also delete the data in the table as well. You will want to export the data if you wish to save it externally from TrackVia.

Before the table can be deleted, however, you will also need to remove any cross table formulas and functions in the table and its related tables. These would be removed in the table editor.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Nathan,

This is a great suggestion that is on our roadmap for development. While we do not have a timeline for this function, we'll be sure to keep you updated! We'll also update this post with any developments as well!

    Hi Nathan,

This is possible by changing your profile settings in your profile. Click the "Setting" link under you name on the right side, then check the Notifications box.

    Hi Nathan,

This would need to be two formulas in the parent: one to sum the numerator and the other to sum your denominator. Sums are ideal so that you can control each variable since a count() will count every child that has a value in the field where you may not want to count them in either variable.

In most cases, you will want to place and IF() statement in the child table to flag the records you which to sum since not all records will be considered a "sale". This IF() will output a 1 on a sale and a 0 on everything else. Your denominator could then follow the same logic if only certain records contribute (count() is best if ALL children roll up to your metrics).

If this does not match your use case, we recommend submitting a ticket with your app specifications so that we can better investigate your needs.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Nathan,

You can use logger.info() in several ways to validate that the script is working as designed and control the errors in the error logs when something does not work.

For example, if you want to validate that a certain field has a value, you can write the script like this before the if() statement: logger.info(currentValues['Field Name']). This is to check that that field has a value in the first place. If you have a multi-step script, you can put a logger.info in the middle to check if the script made it that far: logger.info('Step 3 Completed) which will show "Step 3 Completed" in the error logs.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Matt,

Filters can be deleted from the app overview page by an application admin. The overview can be accessed under the Admin menu, App Overview, the scroll down to the Filters section. Each filter will have a small trashcan icon in the lower left of its tile.

Hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!

    Hello,

We recommend contacting your account administrators as this is a workflow/app specific question. Your admin would be familiar with your application structure, workflow, and permissions. Additionally, they will be able to make the necessary changes to your role to allow you to change your records.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Matt,

While we do not have countif() or sumif() functions to count or sum certain children, this is still possible by putting an if() statement in the children to "flag" them. In this case, we could use count() or sum() based on their functionality (count will count records that have a value in the desired field where null records are ignored).

    1) If statement in the child table that references the record's created date being within the last 90 days. If the records is outside the 90 days, the formula outputs null() or 0. Null for a parent count or 0 if using the sum.

    Calc Text: if( {Created} > datesub(today(), 90, "d"), "Yes",null())
    Calc Num: if( {Created} > datesub(today(), 90, "d"), 1,0)

    2) In the parent table, use a count or sum on the child field from step 1. Count on the calculated text or sum on the calculated number.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Seth,

This is a common request for additional permissions for limited users. There are numerous use cases that we have seen where a limited user needs to be able to import data into the system.

This is on our roadmap for future implementation and we will update this post with any developments in the project. We appreciate your feedback!

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi John,

Calculated user fields are on the roadmap for future development, but an app script should be able to accommodate this functionality in the meantime. This script could run BEFORE INSERT and BEFORE UPDATE for when the record is both created and edited.

    Alex

    Hi John,

While the notifications cannot be marked to send to a given Group, you can still accomplish this functionality be sending the notification from a view that all roles have but is filtered on the user being in the assigned group. This is the same setup as a current logged in user filter for a user field.

Similar to user fields, it would be one view with one filter based on the user being in that group. TrackVia will only send the notification to the user in that group even when it is the same view for all users.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Rod,

This can be done using a TrackVia user field on your tables. This field allows you to pick your agents name from the list of users in your account then filter on this field. The filter can detect the current logged in user based on the user field for each record.

For example, you would create one view with one filter based on the current logged in user for the user field and all users will see different results based on the records where their respective name appears in the user field. More information on this can be found in our Knowledge Base: http://help.trackvia.com/knowledgebase/articles/231829-how-to-create-a-filter

Let us know if you have any questions!

    Hi Ken,

This can be done using the TrackVia API integrating with DropDox's API. While the coding required for this integration are beyond our level of support, our documentation page will provide all the details you need when using our API.

API documentation can be found here: https://developer.trackvia.com/
