    Hi Ken,

Thank you for the feedback. We understand the importance of the ability to visualize our data as charts and graphs. This enhancements to our data visualization tools is something that is definitely on our road map for 2015 and we have shared this use case with our product team. We will keep you updated as this enhancement develops.

It is possible to use TrackVia's open API to integrate with any external software program, such as Tableau, that also has an open API to visualize your data.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Ken,

Rounding can be done using the round() function with any calculated field that is outputting a number. The round() function requires two conditions: the field you wish to round and the number of spaces after the decimal:

round({NumberField}, 2) This will round to two places after the decimal.

More formulas and functions can also be found in our Knowledge Base- http://bit.ly/1zxXnqv

    Hi Dan,

Unfortunately this is not a function that can be utilized in the new TrackVia platform. This is an enhancement that our product team is working to make available, however. For better assessment of the issue, please reference the Classic Knowledge Base at http://bit.ly/16a9Lmd or by submitting a support request through your account.

It is possible to create a view that filters on a document field that does or does not have an attachment uploaded. This view can then be used on a dashboard to quickly reference which records have documents or not.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Dan,

Limiting dashboards on the new TrackVia platform is accomplished using the roles in the account. By creating a limited role for a user, you have the ability to specify which dashboards they have access to. Any dashboard that is not in the role will not be available to the user when logged in to TrackVia.

Additionally, users will also have to have the Super Admin status removed. This can be done using the Manage Users link found ender your email adrress in the top right corner of the page.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi John,

This is a great enhancement request that we've passed along to our product team. Currently, the form aligns the fields at the top of their respective placeholders so that when a field is taller than the one row, it expands the row as a whole. In this case, Row C, as described, is Row B because Row A has expanded to maintain the taller field.

It sounds like it would be more beneficial for taller fields to affect their form columns and not the rows as well so that they can be stacked closer together?

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Ken,

Currently, TrackVia generates the colors for any chart based on the order the records are in or the order of the groups. Blue is typically the first color, followed by red and so on. While it is not possible to specifically which color is assigned to which grouping, it is possible to manipulate the sorting order of the records which will update the color assignments accordingly.

This is a great enhancement that is on our radar. We have shared your feedback with our product team and will keep you posted on when this enhancement will become available. At this time, we are not able to provide a specific timeline, but will update this post with more details in the future!

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hello,

Fields should be able to be resized using the small arrow on the bottom of the field as described. The form will allow for up to four fields per row and as many rows as needed within a section. Unfortunately, it is not possible to shrink a field smaller than the 1x1 grid within the section.

If a field is in a row by itself, the default is to expand the field to extend across all four spaces in the section. To avoid this automatic resizing of the field, it is possible to add space holder widgets from the "widgets" link in the Available Fields & Widgets section of the form builder. These space holders will occupy the same space as a field and will prevent the field from expanding beyond its desired space.

Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Austin,

Thank you for the feedback! Currently there is not a way to limit the drop down of users when using a TrackVia User field in a table. This is an enhancement that is definitely on our radar and we'll be sure to share this with our product team. Lastly, it is possible to search the field to the desired user instead of scrolling though all of the options.

In the meantime, it is possible to create a new, parent table that consists of only your TrackVia users that links to the child where the new records are being assigned. This way, the link goes to the parent table instead of all the available users in the account.

The use of roles and permissions can then be applied to limit the number of users in the parent table that can be accessed in the linking field. To do so, create the necessary views with the necessary filters (from the parent table) to display only certain employees. These limited views can then be added to the roles in the account such that the users in the role will only have access to the users that the filtered view allows.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Canaan,

In this case, data is imported to a table using the App Overview page under the Admin drop down button at the top of the page. TrackVia supports imports from excel files (xlsx) and comma separated value files (csv).

More information on importing is available in our Knowledge Base article: http://bit.ly/1Ih2EVn

    Hi Canaan,

It sounds like you may be trying to add records to a table from a web form? If this is the case, this can be accomplished by integrating TrackVia with Wufoo using Zapier.

Wufoo is an online web form builder that allows a form to be put on a custom web site that non- TrackVia users can use to enter information into a TrackVia app. Zapier is a third party app that links the two platforms together. For more information on this integration, please see our Knowledge Base article: http://bit.ly/1IgZOzD

Another option would be to use the TrackVia API that links your own custom web form to TrackVia. This will require more advanced coding to accomplish. Information about our API can be found at https://developer.trackvia.com/

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hello,

Thank you for the feedback! This is a great enhancement that is on our radar. We will be certain to share this with our product team and keep you informed as this enhancement becomes available. This community post will also updated accordingly, stay tuned for updates!

Currently, the field formatting includes changing the title of the field as well as the in-cell text. Editing the formatting of the section will allow you to change the text color of the titles on the form and the section's background color.

    Hello,

Thank you for the feedback! While TrackVia currently does not have a native feature to translate the data, it is possible to translate the page from the web browser and it is possible to use foreign languages to input data into the application. However, this translation method is not without its own limitations.

This is a great enhancement that we will pass along to our product development team. Currently, we do not have a timeline for this feature, but we will circle back with any updates.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hello,

Thank you for the feedback! We have passed this along to our mobile team for assessment and will update this post once the issue has been resolved.

In the meantime, it is possible to collapse the keyboard by pressing the "back" button on any Android device. This will facilitate in the navigation to the next field while using the TrackVia mobile application.

    Hi John,

While it's currently not possible to convert a chart or graph back into a table format, it is possible to create a new view from the existing chart view and save it as a table/grid- although this route would require to recreate the notification rule.

To do this, click on the green pencil when looking at the chart and select "create a new view." This will open the view designer and will include the same fields as the chart. To change the format of the new view, select the "grid view" option under the format tab.

This is a great enhancement that we will be sure to pass along to our product team and keep you informed as the enhancement progresses.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Esrana,

To find the duplicates in a table, we recommend making a new summary view that groups by the record ID for the table as well as applies a COUNT summary function to the record ID. This will show all the record IDs in the table along with a quantity of how many times this record ID is present in the table. Any count greater than one is a duplicate record. Then, from the summary view, you can drill into the duplicate records to decide which records can be deleted.

To create this summary view, first select the table where the duplicates can be found. Views can be created by clicking the green pencil at the top right side of the table. The summary view option will be under the Format tab of the view creator and will have two primary sections: Apply a calculation to field values? AND Group your results by one or more fields. Both sections will have a drop down of all the available fields from the table. In this case, both drop downs will be the record ID with the first section using the COUNT the Values as the summary function. The view can then be saved by clicking Save & Finish at the bottom of the page.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Esrana,

Since currencies are numeric fields in the table, the calculated percentage should still output correctly: {Currency A} \ {Currency B} = %.

There may be another issue with the formula or the fields being divided for the percentage to work properly. If you would like us to investigate in further detail, you can submit a support ticket here: http://www.trackvia.com/trackvia-support-request/ or call 800-673-3302.

    Hi Esrana,

The "/" symbol should be a valid function for a calculated percentage when dividing two number fields in the table. The error being received should indicate the source whether the syntax for any formula is incorrect or if the table set up needs additional modifications.

If you would like us to investigate in further detail, you can submit a support ticket here: http://www.trackvia.com/trackvia-support-request/ or call 800-673-3302.

    Hi Esrana,

The drop-down is the record ID from the parent table. This record ID can be changed in the table setup of the parent table. The record ID for any table can be a combination of any field in the table, there is additional information in our Knowledge Base Article below:

    Hi Esrana,

It sounds like we want to take the values from one table and make them into a drop down in another, related table. If this is the case, this is done through the creation of the relationship field. This will present as a drop down field in the child table that allows you to determine to which parent record to relate the child record.

    Alex

    Hi Jay,

The ability to create a child record that is linked to it's parent when created can be done several ways. The child view can be added to the parent record's custom form to quickly add several child records at a time. The other option is to include the link to parent field on a custom form for the child record which would provide a drop down of available parents to link it to.

In the case where we'd create a child record before the parent record, would it be a beneficial feature to have a button that would allow you to quickly create the parent record on the fly so that the child record isn't unlinked?

    Regards,

    Alex
