    Hello,

It's unclear to us as to where in the app this is may be happening. Are the lines not appearing when looking at a table or view in a grid or are they not displaying in a specific graph or chart? Please let us know so we can better troubleshoot any issue.

You can also submit a support ticket by emailing directly at support@trackvia.com or calling 800-673-3302 if you'd like us to look into your specific app.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Jason,

Due to the nature of databases, records in the same table are not aware of one another and are not relatable to each other. It is possible to relate them through a parent record, however, this becomes more complicated. While we believe this is a possibility, the complexity will require more information about your workflow. If you'd like to explore these possibilities in greater detail, contact us by email at support@trackvia.com or by phone at 800-673-3302.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Jason,

It sounds like you want to add child views (projects, notes, and tasks) to a custom form. You can add these child views to that when you drill into a specific Client record you will be able to see all the associated records on the form. There is additional information in our Knowledge Base article on how to do this:

    http://help.trackvia.com/knowledgebase/articles/378740-how-to-create-a-form-to-include-child-records

    Hi Jason,

On the role designer page, the second section on the page is called Views & Record Editing. This is the section where you can select specific views to assign to the role and which form you want to use when reading and editing records.

You'll want to do this for each role in the app. You'll also want to include yourself in a role as the admin so you can use the custom forms over the TrackVia generated default forms.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi David,

Hope all is well. The default form is always used for any user who isn't assigned to a role. You can use your custom forms as a super admin as well, you would just need to add yourself to an existing role that uses the forms or create an admin role for yourself that will use the custom forms when you want to add, edit, or delete records.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hello,

There are two ways to print with TrackVia currently. You can print directly from the webpage browser or you can export any view in TrackVia to an excel file first, then print the spreadsheet from excel.

The ability to print directly from TrackVia is a common enhancement request that our product development team is working to implement by the end of this year. Stay tuned for updates!

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hello,

This is a great suggestion and would be a nice feature in TrackVia! We will share this enhancement request with our product development team for future implementation.

There currently isn't a way to import documents and pictures into TrackVia the same way an excel file is imported. However, these files can be imported into TrackVia using Zapier integrated with any app that can store files, such as Dropbox.

Zapier integration would connect Dropbox, for example, with a specific TrackVia table. Here is the link to our Knowledge Base that outlines how to integrate TrackVia with Zapier: http://help.trackvia.com/knowledgebase/articles/406939-working-with-zapier. Then each time a file is added to Dropbox, it would trigger Zapier send the files to TrackVia.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hello,

Due to the nature of a line graph, there can be many data points that are being plotted. Displaying the coordinates of each data point can cause congestion on the page; especially with large data sets. We can share this enhancement request with our product development team!

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Jason,

When uploading documents into a table, each document will need its own document field in the table. Uploading other documents later will replace that document that was previously uploaded in that field. This is because it's considered a change to the record; in the same way that you may change any other field of a record.

If there are multiple documents that need to be linked to a record, it is possible to create a child table for these multiple documents. This structure would make each document a child to the parent record through the table relationship and make it easier to add new documents to a record.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Christine,

Unfortunately it's not currently possible to send a notification based on a date. Email notifications are sent when a record has been changed and the passage of time isn't considered to be a change to the record.

However, reporting schedules are a feature that would allow you to send out reports based this passage of time to any user who may need to know when a date is coming up. Our product development team is currently working to add this feature to TrackVia. We will keep you updated when this feature becomes available.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hello,

Thank you for the feedback! Our product development team is very aware of the congestion that can occur when an app has many tables, views, and filters on the App Overview page. They are currently working on a solution to this issue to improve our user experience. We will keep you informed as this feature improves.

We recommend using the Go To search at the top of the page or using the Admin drop-down menu for navigation if you wish to avoid the App Overview page.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Matt,

Adjustments to Group names that don't save is a known issue that our engineers are working to resolve. We understand the importance of being able to adjust the columns when viewing your data. We will keep you in the loop on any updates for this issue.

Nesting groups within a group is a great suggestion and would be a nice feature in TrackVia. I will pass this request to our development team as well and can keep you in the loop with any updates, too.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Lisa,

Thank you for the great suggestion! It's currently not possible to format fields or the text within a field. I would be more than happy to pass this suggestion on to our product development team. We can keep you informed as this enhancement progresses.

    Alex

    Hello,

There is not a way to create a blank template for TrackVia to use to assign to a new user. What we recommend is adding a TrackVia user field to the table you use to assign tasks to your techs. You can then build a filter using the TrackVia User field and set it to be equal to the Current Logged-In User. You can use this filter on the view on the dashboard and it will allow the logged-in tech to only see the records they are assigned.

This way you would only have to create one role, one dashboard, one filter, and one view for all your techs.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Bruce,

Thank you for the feedback! When looking at a specific contact, or record, there is a link at the top of the form next to the record ID- appears as large blue text- that will connect back to the grid view. The link will be the name of the table where the record is located. These links are smaller front, grey text.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hello,

Thank you for the feedback! Custom forms can be viewed and used on an iPad. To do so, assign the user to a role and edit the role utilize the custom form you've created. This can be done under the Admin button at the top of the page, and selecting the Roles menu. The Role editor will allow you to add/subtract dashboards and views that the user is permitted to access. It will also allow you to determine which forms you want the user to see when accessing records.

While you can use the custom forms on the iPad, the formatting of the custom form is lost on the iPad. The custom form will only display the included fields that were designed online.

I will pass along the feedback to our mobile development team so that custom forms on a mobile device will include color schemes and layouts when the form is being used.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Tom.

Thank you for the great suggestion! We're always looking for ways to help improve the user experience when building a new app. We are currently working on adding more videos to our Knowledge Base, but the articles that do have videos, you can find them at the bottom of the page. Our linking tables article, for example, has a video: http://help.trackvia.com/knowledgebase/articles/274782-how-to-link-tables

You can also visit our Youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/trackvia

    Hello,

Thank you for the feedback, we are always looking for way to improve our mobile app. The data you see in your charts and graphs should be the same as what's viewed online with the same functionality- i.e. you should be able to drill down into the chart to see the specific records associated with the chart/graph. As for the appearance of the charts, I've passed your suggestion along to our mobile development team so they can look into this in further detail. We will keep you updated when any improvements have been made.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hello,

Thank you for the suggestion! While there currently is no document merge ability in the new TrackVia platform, we think this is a great idea for the future. I would be happy to submit your enhancement request along to our product development team for future implementation.

In the meantime, we recommend using Zapier integration to connect your TrackVia account to a WebMerge account. You can find more information here: https://zapier.com/zapbook/webmerge/

    Regards,

    Alex
