    Hi Michael,

Thank you for your comment! There are a few ways to stamp a value in a TrackVia field, and it would ultimately depend on your workflow. You could use the {{OLD}} function which allows you to display the previous value of a field. More information on this function can be found on the link below.

    https://help.trackvia.com/knowledgebase/articles/281151-text-functions

You can then add some logic for the field with the {{OLD}} function to stay static when a certain checkbox is checked. Another option would be to use application scripts, in order to stamp a value only when a set of criteria are met.

The way to get this to work will depend on how records get created and when you want that value to become static. When the parent gets created, do child records automatically get created and this is when you want to capture the static sum? Or if the child records are manually created, what criteria would you use to determine when the sum should become static?

We would need to take a deeper look at your specific use-case in order to suggest a possible solution. Could you please submit your request to support@trackvia.com, along with the app/table/field names?

    Thank you,

    Cristina

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for reaching out! This would be possible via a few calculations on both the parent and child tables.

On the parent table, you can use the max() function, to return the most recent date.

    max({Date on Child Table})

On the child table, you can then return the Number field, for those records whose date is equal to the max({Date on Child Table}) date.

if({Field on Parent created above}={Date on Child Table},{Number on Child Table},null())

Lastly, on the parent table, use the childconcatenate() function on the field you created on the child table, which should only include the number with the highest date.

    childconcatenate({Calc field on Child Table})

If you would like further assistance, feel free to submit a ticket to our support team at support@trackvia.com for us to take a further look.

    Best,

    Cristina

    Hi Michael!

Thank you for reaching out! At the moment, you can use our show/hide rules to show or hide certain fields, depending on the values of fields that are on that form. More information on our show/hide feature can be found on the link below.

    https://help.trackvia.com/knowledgebase/articles/878493-how-to-use-form-show-hide-rules

That said, the ability to conditionally require a field would be a great enhancement to forms. We've passed the request along to our Product Team and will update you if this change becomes available. Thank you for the feedback!

    Sincerely,

    Cristina

    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out! This would be a great enhancement to add to the platform. We've submitted this request to our Product Team and will let you know if this feature becomes available.

In the meantime, there are a few third-party tools you could find useful. In the past, we have recommended a few different browser extensions to help with downloading files in bulk. They allow you to download all of the files you can see on your page at a time, meaning you can download the files up to 100 records at once (as this is the max number of records you can display on a single page of a view at one time). The website below contains a few different options of third-party tools you could evaluate.

    https://techwiser.com/download-managers-for-chrome-and-firefox/

Additionally, if you have anyone on your team that is familiar with the API, we do provide the ability to extract files from that angle. The link below shows the different calls you can use to extract files.

    https://developer.trackvia.com/livedocs

I hope these options are helpful!

    Best,

    Cristina

    Hi Vania,

Thank you for reaching out! Although I have not integrated with Microsoft Power BI in the past, you would be able to integrate with it if they have an Open API. Additionally, we do offer our TrackVia Integrations platform which lets you easily connect with Enterprise systems, without the need to write code. You can find more information on this functionality in the link below.

    https://help.trackvia.com/knowledgebase/articles/1920394-introducing-trackvia-integrations

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Hi there!

We do offer the ability to export and print views from TrackVia. This is a setting that is controlled by the TrackVia Admin of your organization, therefore, we'd suggest contacting them directly!

Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

    Regards,

    Cristina

    Hi Samuel,

This sounds like something that can be accounted for in the role level permissions. We can help you achieve this functionality, however, because this is account specific, I would suggest you send an email to support@trackvia.com with the information about the user/role/view/form. Once we receive this information we can send you a personalized response on how to go about this change.

    Regards,

    Cristina

    Hi Samuel,

Thank you for the clarification. The deep-links on emails that come from notifications and scheduled reports do work for both platforms, however, you are correct in that clicking on a standard URL on Android will not take you to the TrackVia application. The syntax I provided in your previous post (com.trackvia://apps/10/tables/54/views/3138) works for iOS and not on Android at the moment. This has not been released yet and we will be sure to keep you updated once this request has been completed.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance in the meantime.

    Regards,

    Cristina

    Hi Samuel,

Thank you for reaching out! I will bring up the meta viewport tag observation to our Mobile Engineers for them to look into it. With regards to deep-linking, both our iOS and Android platforms should support that functionality. Could you clarify what your process looks like, which is not letting you deep-link? Are you opening a link via a notification/scheduled report email and it's not taking you to the application? Or are you looking to open a TrackVia URL such as https://go.trackvia.com/#/apps/10/tables/52/views/222, and have it take you to the application? You are only seeing this on an Android device right? This information will help us in understanding your process and hopefully find a resolution for you to be able to use the TrackVia application.

Feel free to send us these details to support@trackvia.com or reply to this thread.

    Regards,

    Cristina

    Hi Amy,

Thank you for reaching out! For historical data purposes, it is not possible to delete users from the Account Users table. Standard procedure for removing a user's access would be to deactivate the desired users. Deactivated users cannot log into TrackVia and they will also not count towards the included users in your contract. You would need to have Super Admin permissions in order to deactivate users.

    Best,

    Cristina

    Hi,

Deleted drop-down field options cannot be recovered because of the way the database is set up. Drop-down fields are a completely separate table in the database, so deleting an option is like deleting a record. If you are looking for a way to customize which options are displayed in a certain field, you can use a parent/child relationship instead of a drop-down field to do so. The parent table would contain the options, so from the child table, you would be able to select those options using the relationship field. If you build the workflow in this manner, you can then use a Preferred Parent View at the form level to decide which options should be shown and which should be hidden. The link below contains information on how to assign a parent view to a relationship field.

    https://help.trackvia.com/knowledgebase/articles/509444-how-to-assign-a-parent-view-to-a-relationship-fiel

    Hi Michelle,

Thank you for reaching out! Building a workflow in TrackVia that tracks equipment along with the location and purchasing information is definitely possible. TrackVia is very customizable and this would be a perfect use case for the platform. I would suggest contacting a TrackVia Admin at your organization and voicing your suggestion, as they would be the ones able to build this out for you.

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Regards,

    Cristina

    Hi Amy,

Thank you for reaching out! Although Super Admins do have the option to change the theme of the entirety of the account, you are correct in that this is not managed at the user level. I have added a feature request for our Product Team to consider releasing this enhancement to the platform. If and when it is released, you will be notified!

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Hi Taras,

Thank you for reaching out! A multi-select widget would be an option for you if you have a many-to-many relationship and want to create records on a join table to connect the two parent tables. You do have the ability to use barcode scanners on multi-select widgets. Whether this is an option for you will depend on your workflow and on your end goal. More information about multi-select widgets can be found on the link below.

    https://help.trackvia.com/knowledgebase/articles/933360-how-to-setup-a-multi-select-widget

If you are looking to scan 5 codes and then have that create 5 records instead of clicking save each individual time, that would unfortunately not be possible and you would need to click save each time. I added two feature requests in your name to get the barcode enhancement released as well as the ability to bulk edit records on a mobile device. You will be notified once there's an update to the status of that request.

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Regards,

    Cristina
