What's New?
In an effort to continue making access to TrackVia resources as easy as possible for mobile users, we have added additional support for 'deep links' and 'universal links' when utilizing the iOS app, enabling end users to get directly to their work in the installed mobile app from links shared via email, text, chat, or any other method delivered on mobile.
What's a 'deep link'?
A deep link is a specific type of link formatted to direct a user to a specific location within a mobile app installed on their device, rather than the generic dashboard landing page or sign-in page.
Differences from normal, 'universal link' URLs
Deep link URLs are formatted differently than regular URLs. For example, while a link to a Form to add a new record might look like https://go.trackvia.com/#/apps/1/tables/8/records/new/form/9 in your browser, a properly formatted deep link would be: com.trackvia://apps/1/tables/8/records/new/form/9
With this release, all forms of deep and universal links should open directly in the installed app when attempting to direct users to a specific:
- View
- Form
- Record
- Flow
What's Fixed?
- If a user was in the process of entering data on a Form and backgrounded the App before saving the record, and then accessed a link to a different part of TrackVia, unsaved Form data was previously being lost. We corrected this to ensure that the appropriate "Save data" / "Leave Current Flow" modals are always presented to allow end-users to Save in-flight data before proceeding to a different part of the application.
- Users operating in a TrackVia Trial account now have the ability to request that their Trial account be closed from directly within the Settings in the iOS mobile application.
