Accepted and Blocked File Types for Uploads

This article lists the file types that can and cannot be uploaded to Image, Document, and Attachments fields in TrackVia.

Accepted File Types

Image fields accept: .jpeg, .jpg, .gif, and .png.

Document fields accept most common file formats — for example, Word documents, PDFs, spreadsheets, and video clips — except for the blocked formats listed below.

Attachments fields accept up to 25 files per field, which can be a mixture of accepted types (images, PDFs, Word docs, etc.).

File size limit: Individual files are limited to 40 MB across all upload field types.

Blocked File Types

For security reasons, the following file formats cannot be uploaded to Image, Document, or Attachments fields on a form. These are predominantly executable, script, and system file formats:

What If I Need to Share a Blocked File?

If you need to make a blocked file type available to users, common workarounds include:

• Compressing the file into a .zip archive before uploading
• Storing the file in an external system (e.g., a cloud drive) and adding its URL to a Link field on the record
