Every tool the TrackVia MCP server registers at startup, grouped by category. Your AI assistant selects and combines these automatically based on your request — you generally won't need to name a tool directly, but this reference is useful if you want to understand exactly what's happening under the hood, or if you're asking your assistant what it's capable of.

A note on scope
Several of the higher-level capabilities described in [Introduction to the TrackVia MCP Server] — like creating, updating, and bulk-deleting records, or running a full CSV import — are performed by the server's underlying tools but aren't each broken out as a separate row above (for example, previewBulkUpdate previews the same action that a live bulk update performs). If you want the exact, current, authoritative list at any time, ask your assistant to run serverCapabilities — it always reflects what's registered on the server you're connected to, which may include tools added after this article was written.
