1. In the list of tabs along the admin menu at the top of the screen click on "Dashboards" to open the dashboard drop-down menu. If you have not created any previous dashboards, you will see a message saying "You don't have any dashboards for (App Name). You can access all your dashboards from the admin menu. Remember to assign dashboards to roles so they appear here!"
Beneath the message is a green button that says "Create a New One". You can either click this button to create your first dashboard, or you can click the green "+" symbol next to "New Dashboard" from the drop-down menu to create new dashboards.
2. Name your Dashboard.
3. Now you are ready to add elements to the dashboard. On the left side of the screen under the dashboard name, you will see the list of tabs for Views, Forms, Flows. and Widgets. Clicking on the Views, Forms, or Flows tabs will open a drop-down list of all the resources of that type which you can add to your dashboard.
4. Under the "Widgets" tab is the Shortcut Panel.
5. You can either click on the "shortcut Panel" option and drag it onto your dashboard, or hover your cursor over the "Shortcut Panel" option and click on the green "Add" button to the right.
6. Once a shortcut panel has been added to your dashboard (see image 1), click on the green square with a "+" symbol (see image 2) to choose the shortcut type (see image 3). The shortcut options are: Add Data, Search Data, Open View, and Open Web Link.

7. Select the View, set a placeholder or a description. For Search Data there is an option to automatically open the barcode scanner on a mobile device when this shortcut is clicked.
8. Once an element is in the preview area, you can resize them by dragging the bottom right corner.

9. You can move your elements around and dynamically resize them as you like. Then Click Save.
