Hi I'm a new user, building my first App. I want to create a specific layout for new record entry and existing record edits. Some text lines contain only a few characters so they should be small (to state the obvious). When I drag the field from the arrow on the bottom right, the field will not "shrink." I can make fields bigger, but not smaller. The layout I'm stuck with is not optimal for space and will make it hard for users to enter information since my database has many required fields.

Hello,
Fields should be able to be resized using the small arrow on the bottom of the field as described. The form will allow for up to four fields per row and as many rows as needed within a section. Unfortunately, it is not possible to shrink a field smaller than the 1x1 grid within the section.
If a field is in a row by itself, the default is to expand the field to extend across all four spaces in the section. To avoid this automatic resizing of the field, it is possible to add space holder widgets from the "widgets" link in the Available Fields & Widgets section of the form builder. These space holders will occupy the same space as a field and will prevent the field from expanding beyond its desired space.
Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Regards,
Alex
