TrackVia Integrations: Auth Token Authentication

A New Way to Secure Connections to TrackVia

As of March, 2025, building connections to TrackVia in TrackVia Integrations or standalone Workato accounts is now safer and more scalable than ever with Auth Token Authentication

As our preferred method for connecting systems using service accounts, you can now use the API Key and an Auth Token from your account's API Access section when establishing a new Connection, instead of relying on a username and password, associated with an employee that probably won't be around forever.

How Do I Connect?

Connecting is super simple; just select Auth Token as the Authentication type when setting up a new connector in Workato.

(Note: you can also temporarily Disconnect old OAuth connections and then re-connect them using the Auth Token method without having to build a new connector).

Remember, that it is best practice to give API Users only the minimal amount of permissions needed to support the integrations, using our role-based access controls, according to the principle of least privilege.

Once connected, the Connection is ready to use in any Recipes as expected.
