This article is specific to the updated TrackVia UI released in Fall 2026
TrackVia has two new releases this fall: the new TrackVia experience, a modern view-only interface for dashboards and lists, and the TrackVia MCP, which connects your TrackVia account to the AI assistant you already use. This article covers what each release includes, how to turn on the new experience for your users, which AI assistants work with the MCP, and how the MCP keeps your data secure.
Each section gives a short summary and links to the dedicated article for the full walkthrough.
The New TrackVia Experience
The new TrackVia experience is a cleaner, faster way to find what you need. It is available now as an open beta for every Super Admin.
The first version is view-only. Use it to look at dashboards and lists, filter and search them, and export what you need. Creating and editing records stays in TrackVia Classic. That makes it a good fit for limited users: people who mostly need to find a number, check a status, or pull a report.
For a tour of the interface, see Introduction to the New UI.
What's included
| Area | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Access and navigation | Use the left-side navigation, switch apps and accounts, save favorites, search globally, and turn on dark mode |
| Dashboards | View full dashboard layouts, filter them, and drill down into the data |
| Lists | Work with grid and lanes (kanban) views, with search, sort, filters, and export |
| Preview as | Admins can see exactly what any role will see before rolling it out |
Turning it on for a role
Nothing changes for your users until you choose. Super Admins and App Admins turn on the new experience one role at a time.
- Open the Role Builder for the role you want to update.
- Under Global Permissions, tick Modernized Experience Link.
- Click Save.
Users in that role then see a View in the new experience link in their TrackVia header. Clicking it opens the new experience in a new tab with the same login, data, and permissions. Their current experience stays exactly as it is, and there is nothing to migrate.
To turn it off again, clear the Modernized Experience Link checkbox for that role and save.
A few things to note:
- Start with one limited-user role and ask those users for feedback before expanding.
- Use Preview as to check what a role will see before you turn the link on.
- For the full steps, see How to Enable the New TrackVia UI in Your Account.
What's coming next
Updates arrive every few weeks, starting October 13. The next updates add viewing individual records, calendar and timeline views, and scheduled shares. For the current list, see What's Released and What's Coming.
The TrackVia MCP
The TrackVia MCP connects your TrackVia account to your AI assistant. Once it is connected, you can ask your assistant in plain language to work with your TrackVia data and build in TrackVia with you.
For setup and an overview, see Introduction to the TrackVia MCP Server.
What your assistant can do
| Task | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Explore your account | Browse apps, tables, views, forms, roles, and dashboards, and get a quick orientation to field types, relationships, and record counts |
| Find and analyze data | Search and filter records, group and trend them over time, flag likely duplicates, and trace how records relate |
| Create and update records | Add or update records one at a time or several at once, and preview a CSV import before anything is written |
| Build and configure | Create tables, fields, views, forms, and relationships, add users, and assign views, forms, and dashboards to roles |
For sample requests you can try, see TrackVia MCP Server Example Prompts and Workflows.
Supported assistants
| Assistant | Supported plans and apps |

| ChatGPT | Business, Enterprise, or Edu, with Developer Mode |
| Microsoft Copilot Studio | Your IT admin may need to set it up |

Security and permissions
The MCP works inside the rules you already have in TrackVia:
- Your assistant signs in as you and can only see and change what you already can in TrackVia.
- Sign-in uses short-lived tokens that TrackVia does not store.
- The MCP works with your live data in TrackVia instead of keeping its own copy.
Before you connect, check your organization's policies on AI tools with your IT or security team. For details on how sign-in works, see MCP Authentication.
