This article is specific to the updated TrackVia UI released in Fall 2026
The new TrackVia experience is a modernized version of the TrackVia web interface, rolling out in stages. This article answers the most common questions about it, grouped into three areas: the basics, getting access, and using the new experience. Click a question to see its answer.
The new experience runs alongside the current TrackVia interface. Nothing changes in your current interface, and you can switch back at any time.
The Basics
What is the new TrackVia experience?
It is a modernized version of the TrackVia web interface. It is still TrackVia: the same application, login, data, and permissions, with a new look and feel.
The first release (v1) gives you a new way to navigate TrackVia and to interact with dashboards and views. It is view-only. Editing, the admin experience, and full workflows come in a later release.
Is it finished?
Not yet. The new experience is a preview. New releases will follow every few weeks. If something you rely on is missing today, it is most likely planned for an upcoming release.
Getting Access
Do I have access to it?
Starting September 30, the new experience is available to all Super Admins by default. Super Admins can opt out by contacting TrackVia Support.
How do I get into the new experience?
Once your access is enabled, a View in the new experience link appears in the header of your current TrackVia interface, next to the app name. Click it to open the new experience in a new tab. You use the same login, and there is no separate signup.
Can other users on my account get access?
Yes. Super Admins and App Admins turn it on by role. You don't need to contact TrackVia to do this.
- Open the Role Builder and select the role.
- Expand Global Permissions.
- Tick Modernized Experience Link.
- Click Save.
People in that role see the View in the new experience link the next time they refresh the page or sign in.
Why is it limited to Super Admins by default?
So you can roll it out on your own schedule. Because v1 is view-only, your users can't yet do everything in the new experience that they do today. You decide which roles get it, and when.
Can I give access to one person instead of a whole role?
Access is set per role, and everyone in an enabled role gets the link. To give access to a smaller group, first move those people into a role of their own, then enable that role. Every role starts with the setting turned off.
What if someone belongs to several roles?
Enabling any one of their roles is enough. They will see the link everywhere in TrackVia, not only in that role's app. To keep someone out of the new experience, every role they belong to must stay unticked.
Does it work in a sandbox?
No. The View in the new experience link does not appear in sandbox accounts, even for Super Admins. Try it in your live account.
Can someone use a shared link without access?
No. A direct link or bookmark is checked the same way as the header link. Anyone without access is sent back to the current TrackVia interface. Turning a role off removes the new experience itself for that role, not just the link.
Using the New Experience
What can I do in the new experience right now?
In v1, you can:
- Navigate with the new left-side menu, switch apps and accounts, set favorites, use global search, and turn on dark mode
- View dashboards in full, including filtering and drilling down
- Work with lists in grid and lanes (kanban) views: search, sort, filter, use quick filters, and export
- Share a view one time
For more on each of these, see Navigation, Interacting with Dashboards, and Interacting with Views.
I opened it as a Super Admin and it's nearly empty. Is something wrong?
No. Navigation in the new experience is built from the dashboards assigned to a person's role. Super Admins often don't belong to a role in a given app, so there may be little to show you. This is not what your users will see. To check what they will see, use Preview as, described below.
How do I see what my users will see?
Use Preview as in the app header. Pick any role in the app, and the navigation and content change to match what that role sees. Super Admins and App Admins can both use it.
A few things to note:
- You stay signed in as yourself, and nothing you do is recorded as another user.
- Preview stays on when you refresh the page and ends when you leave the app.
- Preview each role right after you enable it. A role with no dashboards assigned sees an empty experience.
Can I switch back to the current interface?
Yes, at any time. The current interface is not going anywhere during this phase. Both run side by side, and you are never forced to switch.
To return, click your profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select Go back to TrackVia Classic. The same option is also available from the settings menu.
To opt out of the new experience entirely, contact your CSM, TrackVia Support, or productmanagement@trackvia.com.
Will my data, permissions, or integrations be affected?
No. This is an interface update. Your underlying data, user permissions, and integrations do not change. Everyone sees only what they already have permission to see.
Does this include the Admin/Build experience?
Not yet. This rollout focuses on the Limited User experience: day-to-day navigation, dashboards, and views. The Admin/Build experience will be addressed in a future phase.
How do I share feedback?
The in-app feedback form is the preferred way to share feedback, and you can submit it at any time. To open it, click your profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select Submit feedback, just below Go back to TrackVia Classic.
You can also route feedback through your Customer Success contact, or email productmanagement@trackvia.com.
