What's New?
Updates to Kanban (Lanes) Views! One of TrackVia's most beloved project management features has received a significant set of updates, including the ability to add images to lanes cards, the ability to configure an empty "icebox" lane, and new configuration options:
Image Previews on Lanes Cards
When configuring a Lanes View, Image fields can now be included among the field types that you can display. Users can easily open a fullscreen preview of the image on any card without needing to open the record:
Empty Icebox Lane
Previously, every column in a Lanes View needed to be associated with a choice in a Dropdown Field or parent record from a related Parent Table, making it difficult to track unassociated records without utilizing app scripts to populate default values on records. Now any Lanes View can easily be updated to include a Lane for unassociated records, making it easier to visualize and manage backlogs or recently created items that have not been reviewed.
The "Empty" lane for records without a choice will always appear as the left-most column in the view.
Vertical Lane List
For use-cases where a horizontal layout of cards helps to visualize work in progress or upcoming tasks, we've added the ability for Admin to configure Lanes Views as a vertical list, as opposed to horizontal columns, which can be particularly helpful for environments with large display formats:
What's Fixed?
- We fixed an issue that was causing AM & PM to switch when setting Date/Time fields by clicking in and manually adjusting the time associated with a field.
- We fixed an issue that was leading to the Date/Time picker on Date/Time fields closing too often while users were attempting to input data.
- We added additional controls to ensure that users cannot accidentally upload corrupted/0-byte-size files to the system.
- When using the datedif() function in calculated number fields, there was an issue that could lead to the calculation outputting a time that was off by 1 minute. This has been resolved.
- For inventory management use cases utilizing peripheral barcode scanners, there was an issue when attempting to scan barcode values into records within an expanded Grouped/Summary View. This issue has been resolved and users can now scan seamlessly into Grouped Views.
- If a user was editing a record with the History Panel open and saved changes to the record, the updates were not immediately visible in the record history. This has been resolved and users can now see all changes without needing to reload records they just edited.
- Previously, users were unable to Print Gantt charts. The system now utilizes the native browser print settings when attempting to print this view type.
- We fixed an issue where Limited Users adding records via shortcut panels on Dashboards were not seeing the appropriate Save button if no View was permissed to their role on the underlying table.
- We fixed an issue that was leading to the truncation of Lat/Long coordinates in Location fields to 5-decimal place precision. This has been resolved and Location fields now resolve to 10-decimal place precision.
- We fixed an issue that was leading to values being cached in Parent Add Forms when adding a parent record via a Child record in a Child View. Now after adding/updating any records in Child Views, subsequent parent adds will present blank forms as expected.
Developer Note
- The default version of Node.js utilized by the platform to execute microservices has been updated to version 20. All microservices will continue to operate as expected. Any modifications made to microservices or new microservices will cause them to run on version 20.
